          Pantala flavescens is a species of the Odonata Order. The Odonata Order is often called the dragonfly. Odonata comes from the Greek, odontos which means tooth (referring to the teeth in the mandible / jaw). This animal belongs to the sub-order anisoptera, where this sub- order has front wings that are not congruent with rear wings, the size of the rear wing is wider. Anisoptera dragonfly wings spread when the dragonfly is alighted. The male anisoptera dragonfly has 3 tufts, two superior / upper tufts (called serki) and one inferior / lower tuft (called epiprok) (Borror et al, 1979 ). Pantala flavescens belong to the family Libellulidae where this family contains the common dragonflies we see. Jumpa Capung Drepanosticta Curug Cipendok adalah salah satu obyek wisata alam yang berada di bawah Gunung Slamet. Kebanyakan dari orang melihat Curug Cipendok adalah melihat keindahan air terjun yang cantik dan masih memiliki nuansa alami, melepas penat di sela-sela kesesibukan masing-masing orang ataupun sekedar untuk mengisi liburan seperti yang dulu saya lakukan. Akan tetapi kali ini misi saya datang ke sini selain untuk mengisi waktu liburan adalah untuk melihat keindahan odonata yang ada di dalamnya. Misi utama adalah melihat capung endemik jawa yang menurut beberapa literatur yang saya baca hanya terdapat  di beberapa tempat saja, ya Drepanosticta spatulifera (Lieftinck, 1929),  Drepanosticta sundana (Kruger, 1898) , dan Drepanosticta gazella  (Lieftinck, 1929). Pada awalnya  saya dan teman saya sempat mutung karena ngga ketemu Si Drepa, tapi siapa  sangka saya melihat Drepa ketika akan pulang, betapa bahagianya  ketemu sama doi hiya hiya hiya…....
